In Guston, near Dover, I offer a private, purpose-built space designed for deep personal work and lasting change. My approach blends Energy Healing, Mindfulness, Somatic Therapy, Hypnotherapy and Therapeutic Coaching into a unique pathway for those who want to move beyond the echoes of the past. This isn’t about re-living your trauma, it’s about relieving it with practical tools and embodied experiences that help you rewire old patterns and reclaim your self-confidence.
Each session is tailored to meet you where you are, combining evidence-based methods with intuitive practices that engage both mind and body. Whether it’s learning to calm the nervous system through mindfulness and somatic awareness, releasing stuck emotional energy with Reiki and EFT or reshaping subconscious beliefs through coaching or hypnotherapy, the focus is on creating tangible shifts that help improve your everyday life. Once your body and mind understand you are safe, we can talk through your issues and you can choose whether you want to look into your past or just focus on today and tomorrow.
This integrated approach is ideal for those who have carried the weight of early trauma and are ready to explore new ways of living beyond survival mode. In this dedicated space, you’ll find a blend of structure and creativity that supports lasting transformation. I offer in person or online but there are significantly fewer benefits of my therapeutic approach when done through a screen because my nervous system is part of the process.
I also offer these therapies as stand-alone modalities if you prefer.

About Energy Healing – Reiki and EFT
Reiki is a type of energy healing. The word “Reiki” means “mysterious atmosphere, miraculous sign.” It comes from the Japanese words “rei,” meaning universal, and “ki,” meaning life energy.
While the Japanese call this energy ‘ki’, the Chinese call it ‘Qi’ (pron. Chee), in Yoga it’s called ‘Prana’, the Ancient Greeks called it ‘Aether’ and Sigmund Freud called it ‘libido’. Our cells have space between them and, in the concept of Ayurveda, this is where our life energy can be found. Reiki aims to unblock and release energy that is stuck in the body and this rebalances the flow, which can help improve our physical, emotional and spiritual health.
There are 7 main chakras that are found in the middle of the body that start at the base of the spine and end above the top of our head. In many Eastern and spiritual belief systems, chakras are seen as spinning circles that this energy flows through. I will use my hands on, or off the body, to get the energy balanced and flowing correctly.
Reiki works with the chakras whilst other forms of energy healing work with the meridians.

EFT is a tool that uses major and minor meridians and works by tapping locations on the face, body and hands in a certain sequence whilst repeating words or phrases to remove the emotion from a situation which can reduce the negative feelings associated with the issue.
The meridian points are connected by ‘circuits’ that run on each side of the body and these circuits pass energy through the body between the top layer of skin and the fascia (a thin, flexible, connective tissue that surrounds and supports every structure in the body).
EFT uses light pressure to unblock stuck energy and make sure the energy is moving along the right circuit and not being diverted to another which leads to energy imbalance.

About Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the practice of intentionally bringing our attention to the present moment with openness and curiosity. It involves observing thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations without judgment, allowing them to arise and pass rather than trying to control or suppress them. Mindfulness cultivates awareness of the “here and now,” helping people step out of autopilot and engage more consciously with their experiences. At its core, it is about noticing rather than reacting. By anchoring awareness in the present, mindfulness supports overall well-being and equips people to face challenging situations with greater resilience and a balanced perspective.
Regular practice has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety and rumination (overthinking about the past) by calming the nervous system and shifting attention away from unhelpful negative thought loops. It enhances emotional regulation and self-compassion, making it easier to respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively. On a physical level, mindfulness can lower blood pressure, improve sleep and strengthen the immune system. In daily life, it creates greater clarity, focus, improved relationships and better decision-making.

About Somatic Therapy
Somatic therapy is a body-centred approach to healing that focuses on the connection between the mind, emotions and physical sensations. Unlike purely cognitive therapies, somatic work emphasises how trauma, stress and unresolved experiences are stored in the body as tension, posture or physiological patterns. Through techniques such as breathwork, movement, touch, and mindful awareness of bodily sensations, clients learn to notice and release these stored responses. The goal is not only to process thoughts and emotions but also to restore a sense of safety and regulation within the nervous system, allowing the body to complete cycles of stress that may have been interrupted.
The benefits of somatic therapy are wide-ranging, particularly for trauma recovery and emotional regulation. By working directly with the body, clients often experience reduced anxiety, improved resilience and relief from chronic tension or psychosomatic symptoms. Somatic therapy helps people reconnect with their physical selves, fostering greater self-awareness and trust in bodily signals. It can also enhance grounding, presence and the ability to tolerate emotions without becoming overwhelmed.

About Hypnotherapy
Let me reassure you what hypnotherapy isn’t. When people hear the word hypnosis some automatically assume it’s going to be the ‘stage’ version they have seen on TV where unsuspecting people are made to squawk like a chicken. While that has its place, albeit at the end of the pier, that is entertainment not therapy.
In hypnotherapy, we work together to gain an understanding of what, in your subconscious mind, is holding you back from achieving what you want in your current life. I use a range of techniques to help you relax so that we can communicate on a very deep level.
You are in control AT ALL TIMES. I cannot suggest anything to you that your subconscious rejects. Your mind has a built-in infallible gatekeeper designed specifically to keep you safe. If you are interested, I’ll explain more about the brain and how it works.
To access your subconscious, your mind and body have to be totally at ease. We are not all the same and to fully relax some people like body scans (mindfulness), some like muscle relaxation (tense and relax exercises), some like imaginative meditations (guided visualisations) while some like to focus on objects instead. Some people like candles, music, incense or essential oils. Some don’t, and that’s fine too. This is tailored to you and you alone, and we’ll agree what suits you best at the initial consultation.
Although you may feel relaxed and sleepy, you may also feel like you are awake during the whole experience. You might open your eyes occasionally or fidget, and that’s perfectly normal if you do, and also perfectly normal if you don’t. There’s no right or wrong way to do this and there are no expectations from me. For the vast majority of treatments you are not required to speak whilst under hypnosis. We can discuss any concerns when we meet.

About Therapeutic Coaching
When your mind and body know that you are safe, we can talk it through. Therapeutic coaching is an approach that integrates an understanding of how trauma impacts the brain, body and behaviour into the process. Unlike traditional coaching, which often focuses solely on goals, performance and mindset, therapeutic coaching recognises that past experiences of adversity can negatively shape core beliefs, create emotional dysregulation and unwelcome somatic responses. It emphasises safety in a supportive environment without being retraumatised.
The benefits are both practical and deeply restorative. Clients gain tools to regulate stress and emotions, making it easier to pursue goals with clarity and resilience. By addressing the underlying patterns shaped by trauma, coaching helps dismantle limiting beliefs such as “I’m worthless” or “I’m not safe,” replacing them with a stronger sense of agency and self trust. This approach fosters personal growth, as clients learn to align their actions with their values while maintaining nervous system balance. Ultimately, therapeutic coaching empowers individuals to move beyond survival mode, cultivate healthier relationships and regain their self-confidence with self-compassion.
